I thought I’d spare you the carnage of my portfolio this month and offer a small gift in return as a token of thanks to all of my readers. Special thanks go out to the following sponsors:
- McGraw-Hill which regularly publishes quality investment related books.
- To my good friend and fellow blogger Invest It Wisely.

Happy Holidays and good luck!

My DIY stock portfolio is overweight in Canadian oil producers for a reason. I believe Oil consumption is on the path of growth for the next decade and I intend to take every advantage possible of it:

Wow, a generous giveaway!
I mostly come here for the analysis of individual companies, so of course more of that, but you haven’t done a general post (like on better understanding a bit of oil extraction technology or a geology play) in a while…
You’re right Potato, it’s been a while I haven’t covered a resource play. I got a post coming up in the next few weeks. stay tuned
Love the blog and the promotion is great!
Been following for some time, but not much for posting however, I can not resist a giveaway.
Would love to see you update us on many of the junior firms you have brought up on the blog that you may or may not have taken a position on, but brought to our attentions. Firms like BVD, TOC, SPO, etc… that have been in your portfolio, or discussed.
I for one would love to learn how you see these firms fairing under the current circumstances with this sector being undervalued in my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback RV, you can count on me covering more junior firms as I follow several in parallel.
Merry Christmas! I would like investment advice for people living from paycheque to paycheque.
Mitch,
I have been reading your post regularly and this has given me a better understanding of the oil & gas industry which I was not so familiar with. Are you planning on covering the oil & gas service stocks soon. I think that is also a rising industry and would do well in a buoyant oil & gas industry
Thanks for your post and hard work. apatel
Thanks for your feedback Abdul. You are right there is a lack of coverage on the O&G services sector. I promise to try getting some coverage on a couple of stocks.
I would love to see more stories on investing wisely and also an analysis of the current economic situation North Americans find themselves in (an honest explanation in lay-man’s terms). Thanks!
Aliya D.
Happy Holidays and anything related to personal finance.
Thanks for the giveaway! I would like to see more about the entire oil and gas sector, and not just Canada!
