Great week overall, there’s lots of talk out there on the market topping. In the end no one knows if the market has topped this week or will be topping in 3 months. Now with ample reserves after selling, I’ll take my time and wait for the proper investment opportunity. I could have held on GPX longer, and in the long term I could have sold it higher than 70 cents, but my limited capital forces me to adopt a more aggressive style in order to grow it at a higher pace than just sitting on it. The buy and hold phase will come once my capital hits a significant mile stone.
Here’s a list of interesting readings for the weekend:
#1 Contagion Spreads: PIIGS Credit Default Spreads Rising On Greece Default Fears. I would love to reload on Silver stocks, would be nice if one of the PIIGS “worry” the investors for a couple of days.

#3 Kevin at Invest it wisely reminds us not to get fooled by high pressure marketing tactics.
#4 Foreigners Finance has an interesting article on Why 99.7% of People Should Avoid Actively Trading Stocks.
#5 Four Pillars discusses a high risk step I am thinking of taking which is borrowing to invest (using a credit card).
#6 Ending the rat race questions: Pay Down Your Mortgage or Invest In RRSPs? I certainly am focused on my mortgage even if my rate is 1.75% right now.
#7 ABCs of investing has a great post on Asset Allocation Strategies which is an integral part of your financial planning.
